B. Seminars and Trainings
On an annual basis
I provide keynote lectures in international courses at
Wageningen University: the courses aim at training of government
officials of EU candidate and associate countries on harmonisation with
EU principles and practices in the field of animal health & welfare
and food safety.
In
the framework of Twinnings and other cooperation projects I provide
lectures in a multitude of countries. At the Veterinary Faculty of
Utrecht University I lecture regularly for both lower grade and higher
grade students.
The subjects of the lectures cover a range of issues:
- BSE/TSE - policy, communication, international aspects
- Classical Swine Fever - eradication and experiences in policy and management
- food safety policy - main lines of policy and implementation, inspection & control, international context
- preparation for crisis in animal health or food safety
- organisation and implementation of projects in international cooperation
- international veterinary relations
